Marriage a Journey in life

Luke, Chapter 20, 034: And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage:

Today is my 34th wedding anniversary and I do not regret it in any way. But we all start out a marriage with some preconceived notions that all will be happiness and bliss.Marriage is a journey just like life, it has it's ups and downs and twists and turns. But it is the adventure that is the blessing. God gave us a partner to help us understand the meaning of why we are both here. To help us when we can not see the path and to show us how to help them see the path. My favorite time in  life is when Jody and I are alone and we suddenly realize that some issue we had thought we were on opposite sides of we are in complete agreement. And the longer you are married the more often this occurs. Why? Because you have learned from the same teacher and the same lessons.
So Thank You Jody for marrying me and contending with all the long hours away and travel. For being there when I was ill and for the great kids you have given me. We know have two kids, two kids in law and two grandsons and a baby on the way. What more could an old guy like me want. Love you Dear.
