¹ (To the chief Musician for the sons of Korah, A Song upon Alamoth.) God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

² Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;

³ Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.

⁴ There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.

⁵ God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.

⁶ The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted.

⁷ The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

⁸ Come, behold the works of the LORD, what desolations he hath made in the earth.

⁹ He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire.

¹⁰ Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

¹¹ The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

Awhile back my Grandson Zack asked me "What's going to happen if we get in a war with Russia over all this stuff in Europe?" My answer made me wife look twice and the rest of the adults in the room stare at me like I was out of my mind. I said to him " God will win, whether it is the Russians or us , God will still win. He said does that mean we lose . I laughed and said no we are country that is blessed by God and has followed Christian principles we will be protected and rewarded by Jesus. But Zack , we must make sure that our leaders continue to follow God's rules and ways and be good to those who are enemies at the moment. Zack got it immediately as he is smarter than most adults. But how many of you would be comfortable letting a war incur ? The above Psalm was used way back then to calm the people about the possible trouble coming. You see we are the only one's in doubt , the Lord already knows the outcome and will always keep his word.And God forbid you lose someone in a war , remember that was their destiny before they were even born. They did their duty here on earth and God has rewarded them by saying come home sweet angel. So brighten up all souls and enjoy the day that the Lord hath made for us. We are the children of the most powerful and the followers of the most righteous. Amen Lord Amen
