Amazing Grace - An American Psalm

Amazing grace how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost but now I'm found.
Was blind but now I see.
'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear
And grace my fears relieved.
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed.
When we've been there ten thousand years
Bright shining as the sun
We've no less days to sing God's praise
Then when we first begun.
Amazing grace, how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost, but now I'm found.
Was blind, but now I see

Amazing Grace Wintley Phipps

This is an amazing story of probably the best known American Hymn and the best loved. Hymns are important to all of us as they record our journey here on earth . Please take sometime this week and look at a few of the hymns in your hymnal , write down the author and research the song and the author. Some of the most amazing stories of faith are in the history of those men and women and the hymns that they have written . God Bless You All.
