The responsibility of Leading
Leviticus Chapter 4 verse 2 NKJV
Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a soul shall sin through ignorance against any of the commandments of the LORD concerning things which ought not to be done, and shall do against any of them:
God found that the leaders of the Jews was not doing things per his teachings but telling only those teachings that met their views to the the flock. Therefore are is the flock also in sin? The answer is surprisingly yes as a follower we have to know the basic ten commandments and if the act or deed is a sin because of the ten commandments then we are sinners. If it is less known than we are still sinners but he will take the lack of knowledge into account.
I think we today see this in action , for instance calls for protests that produce injuries and damage to others property, the leaders are certainly sinners, but also the protestors are sinners as these are violations of the ten basic commandments of God. So, saying that we have to make society pay is just what your mother meant when she said two wrongs does not make a right.
