Why Keep the Traditions of our Faith
Why do traditions begin ? Because of the tradition is a symbol of a principle of our faith . Such as the Cross, Communion, the color Purple for Lent, and most importantly Jesus on the Cross with a ring of thorns. Each of these and many more represent items we want to remember and show our pride in our faith. If you were to pick a tradition of the Church that most impacted your life would it be communion or the Lord's prayer ?
In my case , the tradition of communion is the one that means the most. Jesus breaking bread as like he allowed his body to be broken for our sins to be washed away. The wine for the strength of his giving us eternal life for believing in him.
