“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:”
Ephesians 2:8 (KJV) 

Every day we think that we are earning our way to Heaven and that our good works will be our way in. But , this is not true you could be the greatest worker for Christ , but unless you accept him as the Son of God and accept him through faith you will not make it . This is a gift he did it for you with no preconceptions asking only that you love him. It is personal and you have to make it personal.
