I am because he lives; A living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.”
Romans 12:1 (KJV)

Jesus taught us that we are a sacrifice to him,  a reward for his love and caring. He supplies with every thing we need and we then need to live in holy and acceptable way for him. Thus abuse of any substance drugs, alcohol, food , anything is not living as he has proscribed for us. He also knows that we are a work in progress and that we are imperfect and will at times fail. But, the expectation is that we get back up and learn from our mistakes , always striving to do better than before.
