Bless the LORD, O my soul

Psalms 103:1 - 103:2

1 A Psalm] of David.) Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, [bless] his holy name.
2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
Today as we prepare for Memorial Day it is important to remember not only the brave military persons, the firefighters, Police and others .
But also the religious warriors and faithful that have gone before. Many were persons that we at times questioned but they brought the masses the word of Jesus Christ and that was a major accomplishment.
I think immediately of Oral Roberts, Rex Humbard and so many more . Rex Humbard brought us not only fantastic messages but the music of the Cathedrals which has change so many hearts along the way.
There is a difference in today's generations then those of my time and my parents. Today many persons go to war and get injured and come home , yes very disabled but alive. When we were kids the majority of the wounded died on the field as they did not have this amazing medical personnel and equipment. When we were kids you were drafted and you had no choice but to go. That does not make one braver or more deserving of our respect than the other, it just changes the expectation for the different families at home.

Always the religious soldiers, such as our missionaries and pastors, went into the world not knowing what would become them. But both all of these took on the armaments of Jesus and went forth in the world to make it a better place for others.

Praise you on and all for your service not only to America but the Lord God Almighty.
