Ideas of where we came from and where we are going
Most of us ponder where we originated from and try to find a relationship with some greater force than ourselves. When we are children we are protected by our parents and feel safe and secure more than any time in our lives.We try to re-obtain that feeling through relationships with family, lovers and hopefully a higher being. But the problem most people have is that we have to know what our expectations are and are they reasonable and true. Some people want someone to completely take care of them , others want some one they can direct and still others want to have their own plan and have someone that no matter win or lose will unconditionally love them.
People argue whether we are evolved from primates or arrived here from some other method. But in reality as far as our moral well being it really doesn't matter , Why? Because only a supreme being could have caused all of this to occur. Random selection would be an infinitely large chance to do all this and create us as we are. So some being ( I believe the Lord) put in motion and directed this great plan. That being said if you follow all of the great religions of the worlds basic tenants you have some very similar directions
treat everyone with kindness, do not murder, do not steal, do not covet, put the Lord first in all things.
Does this sound familiar it should it is in Buddhism, Islam, Judaic and Christian faiths , that covers about 95% of the worlds population, pretty cool . We are connected but in ways that we usually over look to argue amongst ourselves. In the coming weeks we will look at each of these religions and the differences and see which stays the closest to the direction from the Lord.
